Excited to announce...

that Baby #2 is on the way!!! Mike and I found out we were pregnant a few weeks ago and told family and friends this week after my first doctor's appointment. I am almost 10 weeks along with an estimated due date of September 3rd. We couldn't be more excited!! I took 4 pregnancy tests (days, even weeks apart from each other) and they all came out negative. I was shocked when I took one final pregnancy test and it was positive. I was actually at Target, in the Target bathroom, when I took the test. I didn't want to wait until I got home, only to get all hyped up for it to say negative once again. So low and behold, in the good ole Target bathroom, my test showed 2 pink lines and with only myself to celebrate with, I began jumping up and down and screaming in excitement. That night I couldn't drive home fast enough to see Mike and Jordan and tell them the news. So, there it is...we will soon be a family of four:) So far I've been feeling pretty good. However, I've been extremely tired....no, make that exhausted, and have been so hungry at all times of the day. Mike can attest to this. I just can't seem to eat enough. Well, I will continue to update on my pregnancy and I will definitely try and post some pictures of Jordan soon. Adios friends!

Jordan at 13 months

After reading some other mommy blogs, I began to realize I should start posting Jordan's milestones and such. The reason being is that this is essentially a scrapbook/journal of Jordan's life and I want to be able to look back through it and remember what he was doing at all ages. Really I should have done this from the time he was born...oops on my part. Anyways here is a little about Jordan at 13 months old-

* Weighing in at 22 lbs. and 32 inches long. He's in the 30th percentile for his weight and the 80th for his height.
* He is eating all sorts of table foods. Some of his favorites are crackers, string cheese, toast, grilled cheese, soup, sweet potatoes, chicken, applesauce, and yogurt. He's pretty much eating whatever we eat at dinner time, which is definitely nice.
* He hasn't had a bottle since 11 months old...he only drinks from sippy cups. He never had a hard time transitioning...didn't really seem to phase him. He drinks whole milk and water. Once in a blue moon I'll put a little juice in with his water, but I'm not a fan of giving kids juice. It's sugary empty calories that lead to cavities! What's the point?
* He loves to talk. He talks all day long. He mimics many words we tell him, but the words he actually knows well and knows what they mean are mama, dada, dog, and his absolute favorite - BALL.
* His favorite toys right now are any type of ball, Noah's ark (he loves all the animals), his interactive piggy bank, and his books. He loves to flip through his books and look at the pictures.
* The boy LOVES music! Whenever music comes on he dances...which for him is usually just swaying back and forth. Even when a cell phone rings and the ringtone is a song, he dances. Mike has him on the drums every now and then, which he thinks is a blast. I have a feeling Jordan will be musically inclined.
* Jordan is at a fun age. He's doing things like giving kisses, waving bye-bye, clapping, and playing the "you can't get me" game where he speed crawls and screams in hopes of you trying to catch him. He isn't walking yet, but he could do it if he so desired. He walks like a pro when holding on to our hands and behind his push toys. He just doesn't seem to care about walking right now being that he's so good at crawling and knows he can get there a whole lot faster that way. I'm not rushing it. Once he's walking, he'll be doing it forever!
* Temper-tantrum is his new middle name. Oh my gosh can this kid throw quite the fit for a 1 year old. This just started about a week or two ago. If something doesn't go his way, he screams louder than you would believe, slams his hands on the floor and puts his head down on the ground. It's quite the scene and such a fun stage:)

Well, I think that's it. That's the longest written post I've ever had!
